Hi,
I've recently installed flash player 9 , and now all the .swf files from all my previous works wont be recognised by flash player. I try to double click the swf file, and it asks to find the suitable program. I've also tryed to upload some of these files to the net, and have some dificulties viewing. Whilst back at home none of this happens, because i haven't installed flash player 9 yet.
Please help.

When you double-click on a SWF file, try selecting your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) from the list of programs. You should be able to view SWF files this way.

That means you installed the player CONTROL (plugin and active x) .. its not
a standalone exe program fro playing SWF files.

That's because you have not installed one. The only legal way to get one is
by installing Flash itself (you can uninstall later and keep the stand-alone
player). I think you can also get the latest beta player from the adobe
labs download area on that website.

This is NOT related to it being Flash Player 9 . you simply do not have the
appropraite program on your PC (or if you do, you've lost the setup that
    associates it with SWF files)
