Can't view videos

After I installed Adobe Flash  Player's latest version it still doesn't work.  When I try to play a video I get a message saying "Blocked Plug-in" and a pop up saying:  The version of “Adobe Flash Player” on your system does not include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using “Adobe Flash Player”, download an updated version from Adobe’s website.

    I'm using a Mac OS X, version 10.6.8, MacBook Pro, Safari Version 5.1.8 (6534.58.2)
