Cannot activate my flash player.

I have a new iMac and became a member of Adobe to get CreativeCloud. I downloaded Flash Player which is installed, but the computer tells me "You already have Adobe Flash Player installed. To improve security and save energy, Safari did not activate Adobe Flash Player after it was installed."

Flash Player is in my system preferences, but I cannot delete it or move it to the trash.

What am I suppose to do?
