cannot delete/remove Flash32_11_9_900_117.ocx

I'm trying hard to get rid of the file

c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\Flash32_11_9_900_117.ocx

It seems to be left off by some recent Flashplayer 11 installation/update and Secunia PSI claims this file being outdated and suggests that it gotta be deleted.

I tried a bunch of things like unregistering it (regsvr32.exe /u), going into safe mode and deleting it, tried the Adobe uninstaller from this page, all to no avail. I'm always getting

Any clues to get this deleted?

File Assassin

If THAT can't remove it... it CAN'T be removed.

In fact, Fileassassin cannot remove it either. So you say it can't be removed? Ha ha.

I booted an Ubuntu CD and removed the file from the mounted NTFS filesystem.

If you have to use an Ubuntu CD to remove an NTFS file from a Windows OS... I'd say your PC is "pooched" pretty good.
