Cannot download flash player for Vivaldi browser on Windows 10 - can you help?

I have been trying to download the Chrome based  flash player for Vivaldi browser with no success. Initially I  kept getting the error message inital application error and was referred to Adobe webpage saying only one version of player is allowed. I downloaded chrome as it was suggested that Vivaldi could pick this up from the app but the best I get on Vivaldi is the message unable to load application. I am running a 64 bit Windows 10 based laptop, it is annoying as on my windows 7 net book the flash player does activate on the Vivaldi browser. I cannot understand why I cannot download it on windows 10. Any suggestions anyone, Vivaldi moderator is unable to help at this stage. I am UK based.

I am now completely confused, the link above

    C:\Users\**\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs.

does not exist on my laptop and search says it can find no match

I did insert my user ID where indicated.

The same thing happens when I try a simple search for Adobe.

What do I do now please?

Please try the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page in the 'Still having problems' section.

Thank you but this help page for adobe is quite frankly useless and has no

effective use whatsoever. After the installation failed to load I was

directed here and asked did I want a different player apart from the one I

wanted to download. It is impossible to get the player to load on my

vivaldi browser and I have tried uninstalling and installing all to no

avail. Yet on my Windows 7 netbook on my vivaldi browser, there is no

problem with flash player. So far vivaldi have been unable to help and it

seems everyone else has no problem running flash player on vivaldi.

I recall Vivaldi loading Flash Player from the Chrome location (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\CHROME_VERSION\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll, but it doesn't appear to be doing this with the latest version of Chrome (51.0.2704.103) and the 2 most recent versions of Vivaldi.  This would be an issue to take up with Vivaldi not, Adobe.

If you install the Flash Player PPAPI plugin Vivaldi will use that.  The main Flash Player download page (get.adobe.com/flashplayer) hasn't yet been updated to offer the PPAPI to Vivaldi browsers (this is being worked on).  In the interim, please do the following to download and install Flash Player PPAPI for Chromium-based browsers:

    1. Using any browser, go to Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions
    2. For Step 1: select your operating system
    3. For Step 2: select 'FP 22 for Opera and Chromium - PPAPI'
    4. Download the installer, noting the save-to location
    5. Go to the 'save-to' location and double-click the installer file to launch the installer
    6. Follow the prompts to install Flash Player

If you encounter issues we'll need to get some log files from you to troubleshoot further.  Please review the FAQ Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows?  and provide all files listed (FlashInstall.log, Adobe_ADM.log, and Adobe_GDE.log) by uploading them to cloud.acrobat.com/send using the instructions posted at How to share a document

    Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. This is a brand new HP laptop running Windows 10

and I am no computer geek. I use the Vivaldi browser on my HP netbook with

no problem and can download and use Adobe Flash Player and Acrobat but on

this laptop each time I try to download from Adobe I get the same message

'application initialization error' and then get directed back to the Adobe

webpage where I get asked which version I want but I cannot get the

flashplayer to work on Vivaldi nor can I download Acrobat at all. I am

following all the same basic instructions each time and am puzzled why it

all works on the net book but not on the laptop. The flashplayer works on

both Edge and Chrome but on Vivaldi all I get is 'unable to load plugin'. I

have tried downloading acrobat on Edge, Chrome and Vivaldi and get the

'only a single copy of the installer etc' message with an instruction to

close the other window which makes no sense at all to me and am referred

back to adobe webpage which simply runs the help pages on downloading which

is irrelevant as the program will simply not download.

Any help or advice you can give me is much appreciated.

    Thank you
