Cannot Install Flashplayer

I have been trying to install an Flashplayer update.  I have very little experience in wandering around trying to get this to download once I double click on the installer.  Once it comes up it needs my password.  Nothing works.  I have went out and updated a new password, it works on the Adobe site, but will not let me install the flash player.  It just shakes no.  I have a MAC  OS X, 10.11.2      I am using Safari  9.0.2       How do I get it to accept my password and let me install it?

    HI,

This is the OS, not Flash Player prompting for the password, therefore, this is the password you use to log into your system (assuming it's an Admin password as Flash Player requires Admin permissions to install).  If you don't have a password, you can leave most likely leave it blank and click OK to continue.
