[Now is Tuesday, 5 September 2017, 1643  EDT.]

Here is my relevant information:

•    Operating system version  [Mac OS X v10.12.6, with Solid-state Drive]

    •    Web browser and version  [Firefox v55.0.3]

    •    Flash Player version  [v26.0.0.151]

Here is my question, please:

Why can’t I update FlashPlayer?  I use an iMac, with a solid-state drive.   My connection to the Internet, works.  But when I try to update FlashPlayer, I see:

Unable to Check  /  There was a problem trying to check for available updates.  Check your Internet connection & try again.

Again, My connection to the Internet, works.  So I feel Lost.  😞  Please, help.  Thank you.

How are you checking for a Flash Player update?  Please provide exact steps to reproduce the behaviour you are observing.  Also, post a screenshot of the error (I'd like to see the exact dialog window displaying the message).  See https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot  for instructions on taking and posting a screenshot.

Flash Player 26.0.0.151, which according to your post you have installed, is the latest version of Flash Player, released on August 8, 2017.

For future reference, to update Flash Player, to download the latest version of Flash Player, go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and download the installer.
