Cannot view videos on Facebook.

I am using Windows 8.1, 64 bit operating system with Flash Player 19.0.0.245 on Internet Explorer. Whenever I try to look at a posted video on Facebook, I get this error screen; "Flash Player Upgrade Required" "Get Flash Player". When I click on "Get Flash Player" I'm told that Flash Player is up to date. Flash Player is enabled, Active X is unchecked. What will solve this problem?

I've already uninstalled and re-installed KB 3102812, KB 3095108 and KB 3034348 with no change in being able to see videos on Facebook. How can I identify the latest Windows update for IE? There is no detail in the listing other than the KB# and the date of update. Hope you can give me some guidance on this.

Active X is unchecked, as instructed and putting Facebook. com URL in compatibility settings does not help. I think that Flash Player may be corrupted. Is there any way uninstall and then reinstall it? Even though I have used the Adobe Uninstall link, Flash Player still shows as being operative when I click on "Manage Add-Ons".

Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher. There's nothing separate to uninstall or reinstall.

If you've been messing around with some of the Win7-era instructions on manually removing Flash Player from the registry and stuff, then you've corrupted the existing IE installation. The best course of action there is to go to Add/Remove programs, find the last Windows Update applied to Internet Explorer, uninstall it, and then re-install it from Windows Update. This will usually get IE back to a good state.

Do you have the same problem with Chrome?

Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.
