Question

Certain websites not detecting my FP version

Good day. I am using a PC running on Windows 10. I was trying to sign up for a webinar. The site has this Technical Requirements link that will check if my system meets the requirements that would allow me to fully participate in the session. Here is what I got:

     Adobe Connect Diagnostic Test

     Test Results

Install Flash Player 13 to continue testing. Click 'Test Again' after installing the player.

     1. Flash Player 13.0.0.0 or above is required to continue testing

But when I checked from chrome://components/ and Flash Player Help, my FP is already Version: 25.0.0.148.

     1. Check if Flash Player is installed on your computer

Flash Player is pre-installed in Google Chrome and updates automatically!
You can skip the steps below. See Flash Player with Google Chrome.

YOUR SYSTEM INFORMATION
Your Flash Version

25.0.0.148

Your browser name

Google Chrome (PPAPI)

Your Operating System (OS)

Windows (Window 10)

This has happened thrice already, from different sites.
What could be the problem?

I would appreciate some advice in simple terms as I am not a technical person. Some of the actions I have taken, I learned from Google.

Thank you.

You're most likely encountering Chrome's new click-to-play model where Chrome automatically blocks Flash content from sites with a low Site Engagement Index.  Sites coded to handle this recent behavariour should prompt you to enable Flash for that site, many sites aren't doing this.  Please see Adobe Flash isn't working - Chrome Help  for assistance.
