Choppy Video - How to select lower quality video or fix

Hi There Folks,

I have a machine with a pentium 4 - 2.86 ghz or so processor and lots of RAM with Google Chrome.

I have had problems playing videos of late in media player (DVD), HTML5 and Flashplayer.

I have determined that my CPU usage was approaching or hitting 100% in all cases.

In Media Player, for the DVD, I was able to deselect "~use accelerators" and the videos are now fine. They play with no problems.

In HTML5 I was able to select 240P instead of 420P and the CPU usage drops so that the playback i s fine.

IN flashplayer I do not see a way to unload the processor by selecting a lower quality playback or otherwise troubleshoot the issue. Can you help. I used to be able to use flashplayer and it was fine.
