I've hade dozens upon dozens of webpages under allow flash content setting and the latest chrome update disabled all those. Now I have to start all over again. Why is this happening?

This is a change in Chrome 69.  Adobe has nothing to do with this decision.

With the release of Chrome 69, the Flash Player settings only remain for the duration of that session.  Once the browser is closed, the settings are removed.

Refer to Google's Flash roadmap here, Flash Roadmap - The Chromium Projects , specifically section 2.2:

    Summary

Sites using Flash will require explicit permission to run, every time the user restarts the browser.

    Rationale

Require affirmative user choice to run Flash Player content, without that choice persisting across multiple sessions.

This is a question to ask Google.

But the answer to this is simple: Flash is considered to be security risk and so support to Flash is taken away step by step. As a website builder, I changed all web sites under my control to use Flash free animations also simply because mobile users do not get the animation as flash is banned from all iOS and I suppose also Android devices.
