Clean Install & Flash Player failure

Running Windows Vista & Service Pack 2, clean install using the Sony Vaio Restore disks on my laptop.

After clean install Flash works in IE8, but refuses to install on Firefox 3.6

I am using the standard Firewall software that came with Vista Home Edition and am using Sophos AV.

It goes to the download page, I click the top right saying allow, it then appears to download and says to press the button to restart firefox, I do so and the DLM dialogue box comes up with nothing in it and then the top right says to manually install the missing files but doesn't tell me what the missing files are or how to install them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

    Use the installer without DLM:

You can use the link in my post; it will always contain the latest download.

Or you can download from this page http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
