Clicking "allow" on webcam causes extremely slow loading times. (Mac)

For instance, Omegle and Chatroulette. When clicking "Allow" on the Flash prompt, the prompt loads, but I get a Mac wheel of death and the browser starts running very slowly. I can see the webcam briefly, but only for a few seconds. Otherwise, Chrome shuts down until I close the tab, in which case it is fine.

What do i do?
