Compatibility issue with IE 7 and Flash Player 9

I noticed that when I installed the new flash player 9 some flash links would not open when clicked on. When I uninstalled IE 7 and used IE 6 there was no problem but when I reinstalled IE 7 the problem remained. Firefox seems to work fine with flash player 9. My other computer also worked fine until I installed flash player 9. I am not sure if this is related to IE or flash. I have tried to reinstall flash but that did not resolve the issue. I also tried downloading the Flash Player 9 debugger for IE and that did not fix it. How would I fix this problem without downgrading?

    I went back to Flash Player 8 and it works fine. I guess I will stay with Flash Player 8 until an update that fixes the problem comes out. Is it any version of Flash Player 9 that doesn't work or just the latest?
