Confusion w/BWolfe's 9/18/07 posting

BWolfe;
I read your post on 9/18/2007 reguarding the permissions-related issues and I understand it, but I'm confused about a couple of things.
First of all..I'm on Windows XP Home with SP2. The HKEY_CLASSES_ ROOT key in the registry only shows
Everyone on the Security page of the permissions window. The permissions shown for Everyone are All and Read. On the Advanced page there isn't anything. FlashPlayer runs fine on my account with administrator privileges, but not on my wife's limited user account. So I know I have a permissions problem.

My confusinon comes at the end of your post. You state "If you have a Windows System Registry permission issue....SublnACL may be the solution. Please note that if you have this issue on multiple accounts on one machine you'll need to fix each machine individually. Since each machine can't be fixed individually if you only have one machine.....Did you mean that each user account needs to be fixed individually? If so, does that mean that I need to give the limited user account Administrator privileges before logging into that account and fixing, or can it be fixed from my login w/administrator privileges?
I'm clear on what we're trying to do here. And I think that you meant that each account needed to be fixed individually. And I think that I would need to give the limited user account administrator privileges before logging onto that account and installing SublinACL since limited use accounts shouldn't be allowed to install anything. I just need some clarification.
Thanks for the help.

    UPDATE:

OK, This is strange. I need help. BWolfe or Darren please read this.
I downloaded the uninstall_flash_player.exe file to the desktop.
I downloaded the reset_min_zip file to my desktop.
Unzipped the reset_min_zip file to the desktop.
Put a copy of reset_minimal.cmd and sublinACL.exe files on the desktop.
    Closed all programs and screensavers.
    Opened the C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash folder
Ran the uninstall_flash_player.exe file. All files inside the flash folder, along with the folder, were deleted.
Checked the C:/Windows/Downloaded Program Files folder for a Shockwave Flash ActiveX control, none there
Checked Add/Remove Programs for Shockwavwe Flash, not there.
Opened IE6, checked Tools>Manage add-ons, no shockwavw flash object there.
    Went back to the desktop
Double-clicked the reset_minimal.cmd file. It ran. It took all of about 20 seconds. When it said "press any key" I pressed a key and it closed.
I want back to the registry(thru regedit) and right clicked in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder and clicked permissions. It had not changed. The only thing on the first page (It says Security) was a listing for
Everyone. The permissions checked were full and read. I clicked the Advanced button and the next page is still blank.
I logged off my account and logged onto my wife's limited user account where I had palced copies of reset_minimal.cmd and sublinACL.exe and ran the cmd file. It ran for about 20 seconds and said " press any key". I pressed one and it exited.
Went to the regstry and things were the same as I listed previously.
I logged off and logged onto my account w/administrator privileges.
I opened IE and went to the Adobe web site to download flashplayer and reinstall. But when I got to the site, the flash movie at the top of the page started playing.
So I opened up the C:/Windows/System32/Macromed folder and the Flash folder was there again- after I uninstalled it. The Shockwave Flash ActiveX control was back in the C:/Windows/Downloaded Programs File folder and the Shockwave Flash Object was back in the IE>Tools>Manage add-ons window.
So I did everything all over again. Using the same steps I used the first time. The results were the same. After I uninstall the Flash Player and run the reset_minomal.cmd file, it reinstalls itself.
The one difference is, my wife's limited account now runs flash content. Even though the adobe.com/shockwave/welcome page used to check versions of shockwave and flash players says she doesen't have the flash player installed. However, if I go to the "Version Test for Adobe Flash Player" tn_15507, it says that version 9.0.47 is installed properly.
What gives here and why didn't the reset_minimal.cmd file put the permissions back in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT key? Can I add the permissions manually?
    Thanks.
