Constant Re-installing Flash on Mac

Hello! I've re-istalled Flash Player on my macbook pro several times within a few months...every time I go on a website it asks me to install the "newer" version of flash, and as soon as I finish the download, the websites will still ask me to install flash as if the the first few times just moments before didn't take or happen. I'm so confused and am in need of assistance.
