Deleting Flash Player Files after uninstall

I un-installed Flash Player successfully, but there are two directories containing files from flash player that I am unable to delete.  I get a message saying I need permission from Flash Player to delete the files.

One of the directories is :   c:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

Other directory is;

c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash%appdata%Adobe\Flash Player\%appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player

Thanks for any advice on how to delete these files.

Angus

    Which Windows version is this?

    If this is Windows 8.1 and above, Microsoft embeds Flash Player in IE/Edge browsers.  The standalone uninstaller does not remove the embedded Flash Player ActiveX for IE/Edge.  If you have Windows 8.1 or 10 it could explain why the files aren't removable.

    To remove the embedded ActiveX Control run Microsoft's optional update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4577586/update-for-removal-of-adobe-flash-player

    Google will remove the embedded Flash Player PPAPI from Chrome with the Chrome 88 release.  Please refer to Google's Flash Player roadmap for more information.
