Differences between Flash Player 11 Active X and Flash Player 11

Please I need help , i am having troubles finding out if i got the right Flash Player version... am confused, apparently I got the Flash Player 11 Active X, but when i check for the latest version, there is one Flash Player 11. without that Active X, are both the same??

    Flash Player ActiveX is the add-on for Internet Explorer.

    Flash Player plugin is the add-on for other browsers like Firefox.
