I'm away from home.  tried to watch my direct TV from MacBook air.  It says I have install the free Adoe Flash player, which I click on.  Now it wants me to buy an adobe package.  I called direct TV and they tell me I have to call Apple.  I pay these guys a bunch of money every month?

Also, if none of that helps, more details would help us give you a useful answer:

"Now it wants me to buy an adobe package."

Sounds like Flash Player installed successfully and an optional offer for an Adobe product is displaying on the Flash Player installation completed page.

If you're using Safari, Apple dropped support for Flash Player in Safari 14.  You can use one of the other supported browsers:

    • Chrome - embeds Flash Player PPAPI plugin, no need to install it separately
    • Firefox - uses the same Flash Player NPAPI plugin Safari used
    • Opera - need to manually download/install Flash Player PPAPI plugin

By the way, Flash Player is going away for EVERYONE at the end of December. You might want to look for a new TV company if Direct TV are still using Flash.

If you're using the latest Safari browser, you can no longer use Adobe Flash Player.

Try using Chrome or Firefox instead.
