Hello,

I have a question/problem with the Adobe Flash Player configuration-file called "mms.cfg".

I want to disable hardware-acceleration.

Therefore I have created a file "mms.cfg" with the following content:

As described here, I did open the website "https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html#main_Find_Flash_Player_version_type_and_capabilities__Flash_developers_only_"

, scrolled down to the tree-example, right clicked it and opened the settings.

The dialog says, that hardware-acceleration is still being used!?

Have a look at the following screenshot:

It seems, that the configuration through "mms.cfg" doesn't work as expected.

How do I disable hardware-accelleration?

Thank you!

Tested on:

Windows 7 x64 – Flash Player 27 ActiveX

Server 2008r2 – Flash Player 27 ActiveX

Server 2016 – Build in Flash Player

The mms.cfg setting will override any preferences in the UI, but it does not update the UI.

I already thought about that. Thank you for the confirmation!

No problem.  Out of curiosity, are you disabling hardware acceleration to work around a problem that we should be looking into?
