Question

Discrepancy on Hulu.com, dialog requests higher level than actually required!

I have an Intel Mac running 10.4.11 and the newest version of Flash available with my OS, 10.3.183.11. Hulu requires 10.2 if I remember correctly, but it's definitely older than my version. Whenever I go to view videos on Hulu.com(which I could successfully do a few weeks ago with no changes on my end), an Adobe dialog pops up stating that I need to upgrade to Flash 11.1. If I say no, I can't see any video. If I say yes, of course, I get an error stating that 11.1 is not compatible with my OS. Hulu has not been able to help at all, 'we're stumped'. Please help! I have tried all the usual uninstall/reinstall, restart, everything imaginable for the past couple of weeks, Hulu does agree that 11.1 is NOT required and that 10.3 should work(which matches their support documents), btw.

Hi Skye,

I'll try and get a 10.4 machine together and see if I can reproduce this.

Hi Skye,

I just gave this a try with 10.4.11, Safari and FP 10.3.183.11 and Hulu worked fine for me (TV and super bowl ads played without any problems.)  What browser are you using?  If you go to the following page, do you see a spinning red F animation and your installed version information?

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Thanks,

Chris

Hi,

I see no animation but I do see

"You have version 10,3,183,11 installed"

Hoping this helps to resolve the problem!

Thanks,

Skye
