Download and install Adobe Flash Player

Question

Every time I download Adobe Flash Player and when am about to finish I get stuck on this dialogue, asking me to close the program which is not there and it become non-fuctional throughout;

What do I do as I have tried on internet explorer and Mozila but give the same problem.

It's probably another application that uses Internet Explorer under the hood. AOL Instant Messenger used to do this. It's probably something persistent (i,.e. running in the background in the task bar). You could use task manager to see if there are any instances of iexplore.exe running and just kill them.
