Error #2036 after XP update

20 minutes ago, I was able to watch videos on gametrailers.com. Now, when I try and play them, I get an error 2036. Within the time period, I allowed windows to update.

I deleted Flash Player and reinstalled so I know I have the newest version (45.2). I'm running on firefox 3.6.3 and have the DLM add-on. The only thing I can think of is the security updates through XP as it happend between being able to view and not able to. Either that, or its the site.

Thanks for the help!!

Hi, You received the error after updating Windows. Did you uninstall/install Flash Player after that, or did you mean that you already had it installed when this happened?

How did you receive this error? From Windows, IE, Firefox or the website?  Did you reboot(restart) your computer after the windows security update?

    Thanks,

I was watching movies on the site, let windows update, rebooted and then went back and I get the error. After all that, I uninstalled Flash Player and then downloaded a fresh copy and installed.

The site actually show me on the screen that it's an error. Right clicking on the video screen gives me printing, setting, and about Adobe Flash Player 10.

I also rebooted after deleting FP and after the new install.

Hi, thanks. It sounds like a glitch happened, but not sure yet. Since you Uninstalled/Installed, let's take a look at the Flash files. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Right click on the Flash folder and post back all of the files installed.

If you use FF(Firefox) or another browser, you'll need to right click on the NPSWF files and click on Properties to obtain the version numbers.

Using IE go to Tools, Manage Add ons (All add ons) and make sure Shockwave Flash Object ...ActiveX Control..Flash10e.ocx is installed and enabled.

Using FF, go to plug-ins and find SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is listed and enabled.

    Thanks,
