Error: Camera Error

Anyone ever get "Error: Camera Error". No camera activity was found. Your camera may be in use by another program.

This is in the little preview flash window.

what's interesting is if I right click settings, and click on the webcam picture, I see myself, but not in the preview window, far side viewers just see black 😞

I tried un-installing, rebooting, and re-installing. same tang

    A little information goes a long way.

    What OS are you using?

    What make is the camera?

    Are you using it in a briowser or communication program, and what program or browser is it?

    tx for the reply..

    OS: Windows XP

    cam: Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000

    App: The Performer Application

    this morinng I un-installed all flash and the app, re-installed all. first started with error-10, once I added the website the app uses I Got by that and am back to where I was yesterday.

    To summarize:

    Preview Flash comes up fine

    the Error Camera Error appears

    Right Click in preview Flash -> Settings

    click on webcam icon(right most)

    click larger icon above, viola, cam works here, I can see myself

    But still does not work in Preview Flash window, still error camera error no camera found....

    maybe there is another app that can try the same thing so I can maybe narrow it down to the app. though that would be strange as this worked fine last week...
