The error I got is that the content is not available in the U.S., via that specific site/service. This is common due to content licensing (content may be licenses to only be viewable in certain countries by the host). Since this is an Italian site, my guess is the content is viewable only in Italy, or perhaps some European countries, but this is up to the content provider and the license they paid to have the content available on their site.
The error you're getting is different, but it's very vague. It appears to give no reason, just that the video couldn't be played. It's difficult, at best, to troubleshoot that. I recommend contacting the content provider for assistance.
I don't think this site/service/player uses Flash. I searched their FAQ for Flash, and it returns 0 results (Risultati ricerca – Dplay Italia )
