Hi, please post back what browsers and versions that you use on each computer.  Do have the Service Pack 3 installed on your XP?

    Is either computer a 64bit?

    Are you the Administrator?

Is there an error number with the message?

    Thanks,

Sorry for leaving out information.I now have the XP machine running flash player after I installed it from the executable instead of using the adobe download manager. The Vista machine is running SP 2 and browser is IE8.After it goes through installation it shows"Error:Installation Failed".There are no error numbers.Flash player works fine with Firefox but just will not install on IE8.If I left out anything let me know.Thanks.

Hi, so Flash Player is Installed on the XP, does is have the SP3 on? If not today is the last day if you want support from Microsoft since they will not be supporting XP without it after today.

What Anti-Virus program do you use on the Vista? Does it have a Firewall and if not do you use any Firewall other than Windows?

Did you follow the Uninstall instructions? Did you also use the offline Installer for IE and run the Uninstaller and the Installer from your Desktop?

You must also be the Administrator and use that Account.

    Is it a 64bit system?

    Thanks,
