Error updating flash player...

Question

I got the message on Google Chrome to update my version of flash player this morning. I successfully dowloaded the update, but when I try to run the install the program I get the following error message....Any ideas on what I can do to install the update? I am running Windows XP.

Google Chrome comes with it's own version of Flash Player, so you shouldn't need to download and install anything in addition. The current version included with Chrome is 11.6.602.171. You can verify your version by visiting this page:

As for that error, this help page describes how to solve issues like this and also contains links to our stand alone installers that won't encounter this problem.
