ExternalInterface Call in Flash 10.2 Crashes older Mozilla Browsers

We are trying to use the latest 10.2 flash player on solaris 10u8 in their Mozilla 1.7.x web browser, but any call to ExternalInterface.call crashes the browser.

    What changed between 10.2 and 10.1.  The 10.1 player worked fine.  Note that only when ExterInterface.call is called is when the browser crashes.
