Question

Failures to download Adobe Flash Player on Windows XP

As of today, I have been unable to download Adobe Flash Player updates. The download stops with an unspecified failure about 50% of the way through -- I don't even get to the installation point. It occurs in both Firefox and IE. I am using a Windows XP system, and updates prior to today have been trouble-free.

I have also uninstalled Flash Player and tried to reinstall it, but it failed in the same way which means I now have no working copy of it.

Is there some log or other information to help track down the cause?

I have enabled the ADM.trace advanced logging and looked at the results (I an IT support pro). It seems there is a problem with the binary signature validation, so a problem at your end!

The end of the Adobe_ADM.log is as follows :-

When you say "at your end", are you referring to Adobe or me? I'm assuming that you mean Adobe's end as you seem to have reproduced something similar.

How do I enable this logging myself?
