fb games tell me to update adobe flash so i did, but they still say to update

facebook games along with youtube tells me to update my adobe flash player so i did. it sayed successful but fb and youtube still say for me to update?? also i looked under all programs and i cant find the flash player. the only thing adobe i can find is adobe reader!!! am i doing something wrong. my operating system is vista and i am running internet explorer!!! please help me!! thank u soo much

    what OS and browser are you using?  after installation did you quit your browser application and restart it to see if that resolves your issue?

    i have vista and was using ie 8 but i went ahead and downloaded the vista pack 2 and then updated my internet explorer to ie 9. and that seems to have solved the problem as of right now! although when i first tried to open songpop on fb it did tell me to update adobe but then it went ahead and loaded the game. so not really sure what that is about but i think ill just leave it alone for now and see how things go. if u do have any info u think would help please feel free to let me know. i am really bad with computers and appriciate any help!! thank u!!
