Firefox issue

I can't get Adobe Flash to play music.

Flash is unavailable for playback. Your Flash version is: 11.1.102 To proceed, try the following:

  • Refreshing the Page
  • Restarting your Browser
  • Upgrading your Flash Player

I have tried all of the fixes I have found and nothing helps. I had the same issue with IE but found that Mcafee ws blocking it. I don't see that for firefox.

I have 64 bit windows 7

Thanks

Jim

The problem may be in MySpace trying to prevent use of Adblock Firefox extension.

A work around with a drawback:

Open your Explorer browser and open a MySpace album or one of your MySpace playlists, using Explorer.  Grab the web address in the player that pops up and paste that into a fresh Firefox browser. If you have been trying to use MySpace with Firefox, close Firefox and reopen it before pasting the player's URL.  You get the player as a regular window in Firefox. AdBlock Plus works too, so you keep all the MySpace ads out of your face, which is why I wanted Firefox to work with the MySpace player. It's death by adverts without this.

The drawback is that at the end of every song where there would have been a new talking advert, the player pauses. So you have to use to mouse to click play after each song is done.

I'd like a fix for that but at least I can play a set of music a click per song, ad free.

I updated Adobe Flash 2 days ago (on Mar 6th). Immediately after that, Firefox would report that I do not have the latest Flash plugin whenever I visited a site that used flash (such as vimeo.com).  Despite updating the Firefox browser plugin as well, no flash content whatsoever, on any site, will function in Firefox.  At the same time Google Chrome works fine.

My theory is that Firefox is doing a version check, and the version number doesn't match.  This seems to be reinforced by the fact that when I go to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html it reports that I have version 11.1.102.63, whereas the latest version is listed as 11.1.102.62.  Now I'm not sure if Firefox goes to that depth of version checking, but... By the way, Chrome reports the same information on the Flash help page, but I have no issues in Chrome.

I tried everything possible now for the past week have not been able to get anything to fix firefox and flash.  Even the install of flash in firefox is problematic for some of my clients.

    Jim,

Do you find this issue only with a specific website?
Are you getting this message while accessing any websites that have Flash content?

    Hello !

I also have this problem, I've tried everything, clear the cache, fresh reinstall following a thread on this forum, but still the same error on http://www.myspace.com

Flash is unavailable for playback. Your Flash version is: 11.1.102

    • Refreshing the Page
    • Restarting your Browser
    • Upgrading your Flash Player

Tried with Google Chrome, Firefox and IE... I run on Windows 7 - 64bit.

Moreover Google Chrome has Flash Player integrated, which means I can't uninstall it to fresh reinstall, it auto-updates

    On http://www.deezer.com, I can't do anything, I can't play a song, can't make a research or anything...

If you have a solution please let us know.

    Thank you !

    Best regards,
