Hi there,

I have followed instruction and unistalled and reinstalled latest flash player. however firefox is unable to recognize it(specific website->globaltv.com). You tube works fine. I have diabled all plugins except microsoft, java ones, and Shockwave Flash. The files in the 'Flash' folder on my computer are

-Flash10e.ocx

-flashplayer.xpt

-FlashUtil10e.exe

-install.log

-NPSWF32.dll

-NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe

-uninstall_activeX.exe

-uninstall_plugin.exe

Help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi sansari22, well looks good so far. Go to the plugins and find SWF to see if it is listed and vs 10.0.45.2 and most importantly Enabled. Is this the Shockwave Flash you referred to?

I'm assuming you Rebooted after the install?

What anti-virus/spyware do you have installed?

You didn't mention the OS you are using.

Is this website the only one causing problems? Do you get any message when trying to view it? What does it exactly do?

Thanks,

eidnolb

hi! Thanks for the response!

Yes it was the Shochkwave flash I referred to. Its enabled and version is 10.0.45.2.

I am on windows xp. I have malware bytes and symantec anti virus enabled but i dont have problems viewing anything else anywhere so I doubt these are causing issues. This seems to be the only site where I am unable to view videos. When I go to the videos here I get 'to view this site you need to have Flash player 8.0 or later installed' Click here to get the latest version'.

I initially thought it might be the website but other people are able to view videos there. I did reboot after the uninstall and install.

Hi sansari22, Thank you for the answers.  The website saying that you need Flash Player 8.0 or later is sort of puzzling.

The other people you know that can view this site, do they use FF and the latest version? If so they we will have to look

at other causes. Were you able to view this site prior to updating to 10.0.45.2, say with 10.0.42.34?

Thanks,
