Firefox vs. IE Flash Player

Hello.

I have created a fighting game (streetfighter like) that loads other .swfs for music and characters. The game functions perfectly in Internet Explorer using Flash Player 9. However, in Firefox it displays...but looses functionality (you can't duck and the opposing player AI get messed up). I thought it might be Flash Player 9 in Firefox, but I went back and got the archived version of Flash Player 7, and Flash Player 8 and it had the same problems.

Funny thing is, I had an older version of Firefox on my laptop and the game functioned properly...but when I updated Firefox, the game broke again.

Does anybody know how/why the Flash Player functions differently in Firefox than it does in IE and what may be causing this? Has anybody else had similar problems?

Thanks

ok...can someone please help me out with this more, I think I have found more of the problem.

I am loading specifically named .swfs. But when firefox saves the files to the cache, it saves the files as a random encrypted string. For instance "foo.swf" becomes "4ERRIE456"...when the flash player then tries to bring back in and reference the file...it cant find it, and has to reload it.

Is there anyway to turn this encryption off in the about:config?
