Flash 10.1 Won't Work in Mac FireFox

Since I downloaded Flash 10.1 to my Mac Mini the other day I can't get flash to play in any of my versions of FireFox: 3.6.10, 3.6.9, 3.5.5, 3.0.4, 3.0.3. On YouTube videos the ring of circles spins on a black background until, after about five minutes, I get a message that says "an error has occurred. Please try again later."

I had no problem in FireFox with earlier versions of Flash. And 10.1 works fine on my Safari.

Mac Mini 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

OS X 10.5.8

2 GB RAM

Hi, look in the plugins for Shockwave Flash vs.10.1.82.76 and make sure it is Enabled.

    Thank you.

Yes, that's one of the first things I checked.

I also disabled all the other add-ons to see if one of them was conflicting. No dice.

I feel like I've tried to do everything that I've read about. I'm starting to feel that there's an unspecified bug in either Foxfire or Flash that shows itself in certain systems.

Is there a way for me to go back to an earlier version of Flash?

    Cheers,

    Jer

Ok, so the Shockwave Flash is Enabled in FF. Since FP 10.1 came out there have been problems with FF, many more than with other browsers.

Do you use adblock or adblockplus or any other popup blocking software? When you Uninstalled the previous version of Flash Player and Installed, do you recall using the DLM, the download manager? If you did do you have any getplus, get_atlcom Class or DLM Control in any add ons/plugins/extensions?

Do you know where your Flash files are located and post them here? Sometime during an Uninstall an old file doesn't always get removed.

I'm not very well versed in Mac and can't tell you where to go to find this info.

On reverting back to an older version, it really isn't a good idea. Most all websites already updated to support the latest version of Flash Player. You may have the same problem since you'll still be using FF. If you have no choice, then you could though.

Have you already tried turning off the hardware acceleration and see if that helps?

    Let me know,

    Thanks,
