I've been having issues with youtube for the past week or so. On about 80% of page loads the player will render just a black square in the intended spot and there will no video nor controls. The audio will play fine in most cases when this happens.

I've noticed this happen on other sites as well, such as aeroplan.com, although it happend much less frequently.

Please take a look at the following FAQ which describes what we'll need and where to report this issue so we can investigate further.

How do I troubleshoot and report problems with Flash Player Video?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I am experiencing similar issues to the OP, however the issue affects more than just video content. For example, if I go to http://www.lessrain.co.uk/, I see a completely blank white page. It appears as if the Flash Player is not rendering anything at all. I can right click and interactive with the Flash Player context menu (I can change pages in lessrain's site using the right click, but again nothing renders). I am on Mac OS X 10.7.2 using Flash Player 11.1.102.64 Debug version. The strange part of this issue is that if I go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, the short "Adobe Flash Player Successfullly Installed" Flash movie runs and renders no problem. The Flash content on Nike Store seems to render just fine as well (http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

djmichaelalex,

I just gave this page a try with Chrome, Firefox and Safari on my 10.7.2 system and they all loaded properly.  Could you try using the release player to see if that makes a difference for you?

Thanks,

Chris
