I just downloaded IE9 for my windows 7 64 bit, but when i got to websites that have flash in them the animation is choppy and not as smooth as it was in IE8 or in my firefox browser also on one of the sites i can see black boxes in the animation that should not be there.

my friend also downloaded IE9 on his system which he is running the same OS as me and ie9 displays as smooth as firefox and hes previous ie8 please help me with a solution.

I had a similar problem with IE9 that went away with other browsers. It turned out I had recently updated the Adobe Flash Plalyer and this caused IE9 problems. The fix was to change an IE9 setting as follows in IE9 select "Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced Tab" and then select the first option "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering". Save and restart IE9.

    Hope this helps.

Hi, you may want to try this:

You may want to go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.

    See if that helps.

    Thanks,
