Windows 7 64 bit

Explorer 32 bit

It appears that the player downloaded as shows up in the Programs in Control Panel, but does not show up in All Programs. Nothing shows up in the box that is suppose to show the version I have when checking thru your Adobe website. Tried different solutions on website and in Forum, but it stays the same. Other advise?

Hi, here is what I found on Easy Network:

    https://community.mcafee.com/thread/22604

Before you start the Uninstall/Install process we need to Disable McAfee. Try doubleclicking the Security Center icon in the system tray and see if that opens it.Click Advanced Menu (bottom left)
    Click Configure (left)
Click Computer & Files (top left)

You can disable VirusScan in the riught-hand module and tell it for how long. Click Internet & Network (top left)

You can do the same with Firewall there, although that shouldn't be necessary. If you do that, enable Windows Firewall for the duration of the installation.

That's all you need to disable.

Let me know if you can follow those instructions with your version of Security Center. Sometimes versions change and since I don't use McAfee I can't know for sure. Be sure to let me know on this.

My suggestion is to Uninstall Flash Player, go here and download and SAVE to your Desktop:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  Follow the instructions but stop at the "more solutions" Now you will Reboot(restart) your computer if you haven't already done so.

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer: ( Do this before starting any Uninstalling)

    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Once you have McAfee Disabled, have followed the Uninstall instructions, then Close all browsers. You only want to be looking at your Desktop now. RUN the Installer and when it is finished, Reboot.

Then check in your Manage add ons for that Shockwave Flash Object and make sure it is Enabled.

If it is then, Re-enable all of your McAfee that you Disabled.

Let me know if you have any questions about any of this.

    Thanks,

Hi, Is the Shockwave Flash Object enabled? Go to Tools, Manage Add ons. Look in the 4 categories under "Show".

Flash Player won't be listed in All Programs, it is a browser plugin.

    Thanks,

Thank you for your response. I cannot locate "Show". Under "Tool bars

and extensions" it shows Adobe PDF Link Helper" and that is disabled.

    That version is 9.1.0.163

Hi, I know it is hard to find. I often wish that Microsoft would have users of their products give input:-) Go back to the manage add ons and when it opens to Toolbars & Extensions, look down to the middle left of the site. Show is in very light text. They are All add ons, currently loaded, run without permission and downloaded Controls.

Hope you find that section this time:-)
