Flash EOL: LTU impacted?

Hi,

I have read in this community about technical options to keep Flash based content available for a while post-EOL. To have this done in a supported way it looks like I need to go to HARMAN for their services.

If I do not need full support and just continue to use Flash plugin in browsers in 2021 with the configured AllowList etc, is this still covered by the existing Adobe LTU? Or is any use of Flash technology in 2021 bound to a license I need to get from HARMAN?

So my question is less about the technical feasibility, but rather the legal aspect of the usage. Does anyone have any information here?

Thanks in advance!

Lars

Please see the Enterprise Enablement FAQ, here:

You can find a copy of the Flash Player EULA, here:

https://www.adobe.com/products/eula/tools/flashplayer_usage.html

I am not a lawyer, but my understanding is that you're under no obligation to HARMAN, unless you want a maintained copy of Flash Player.

One example of a place where licensing from HARMAN might come in handy is for Windows 10 environments, where the Microsoft-distributed Flash Player will ultimately be uninstalled in a future OS update. Adobe will not be publishing a Windows 10 installer, but HARMAN's engineering team could choose to make one available.  It's also the only way to get ongoing security updates after 2020, which might be desirable depending on your attack surface.

Is there any way we can play the flash content in the browser post Dec 2020 by taking support from Harman/Adobe ?

what happens if i dont unstall and tries to load the flash content post Dec 2020?
