Flash games not loading -- white box

Flash games have suddenly stopped loading for me. When I tried to load them, I just get a white box.

I'm using Firefox in Windows XP.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Flash player (so I'm definitely current). And rebooted. And cleared cache.

I've tried several other things including disabling other plugins in FireFox and turning off hardware acceleration ... all to no avail

I can view videos in youtube (The HTML5 test)

Windows XP 2002 SP3 (32-bit)

Browser Firefox 15.0.1

Flash Player 11.4.402.265

PS. Originally I had the same problem in IE, but something I did has fixed that

Could you try the troubleshooting steps in this FAQ?

How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

Chris, thanks for the suggestion

I went through this and here’s what happened:

-          I do not have Realplayer

-          When I went into protected mode (forced to create a new profile) the problem still occurred

However, I wonder if I did something wrong --

Is there a way to verify that Firefox is actually in protected mode? It doesn’t look any different, and even has my home page!

I did learn that the problem is intermittent – some games (maybe smaller ones? Not sure how to tell) load ok

One that works for me: http://miniarcadebox.com/2012/09/small-safes-house-escape-2/

One that doesn’t: http://www.melting-mindz.com/turtle_island_escape.php

Right click gives message “Movie not loaded”

Ok, I tried creating a new user account on my computer.

I went into firefox in safety mode, created a new id, and the problem still exists.

Guess I'll have to try filing a bug report!
