Question

Flash is incredibly slow on 64 bit Safari

Hello all

Since upgrading to OS X 10.6 I have switched from Safari to Firefox because Safari makes Flash painfully slow (as if Flash wasn't already slow enough on OS X compared to windows). I have tried switching Safari to 32 bit, which fixes the speed problem, but some websites now load, then go white, so i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I a running FP 10.0.32.18 Debug on a 2007 aluminum iMac.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? is Adobe aware and are there any plans to remedy this?

Same to me. After updating from 10.5.8 to 10.6.1 Safari (64-Bit) and Flash don't run friendly together (Hey, i could say that during leopard-times, too - but now i have to do so !). Running Firefox 3.0.11 Flash is much more responsible and looks like it was on Safari at 10.5.x.

Has come the time for a 64-Bit-OSX-Optimized FlashPlayer-Version? I wish so.

I got the same issue too.

After upgrading from 10.5.8 to 10.6, I feel painful when playing Bejeweled in Facebook.

It gave me incredibly slow after few plays of the game.

Didn't come up in our pre-release testing.

If you could post a few sites that are misbehaving for you we'll try to test them.  And I believe this ties in with another forum thread about 10.6 that you can also contribute to.
