Flash keeps crashing constantly - PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

Simply put, Flash player keeps crashing. It happens with Chrome and it happens with Firefox.

With Chrome:

- I've uninstalled and installed the browser various times

- From what I've read Chrome has a built-in flash player, so nothing to uninstall/install there

- I've cleared cookies and cache

With Firefox:

- I've uninstalled and installed the browser various times

- I've uninstalled and installed the plugin various times

- I've cleared cookies and cache

I have not been able to deactivate hardware acceleration (as it is sometimes suggested) since -oh the irony- flash crashes at the help website (so I cannot right-click on the flash animation and change the settings).

So I'm stuck. This has been going on for days, and it is *extremely* frustrating since it freezes the browser and it renders the whole experience useless.

Please help!!!!!!! I don't know what else to do, since all (most) suggested solutions and troubleshoots start at deactivating acceleration (which I cannot do, as stated before).

By the way, the crashes occur at any and all websites that use flash.

There aren't really any useful clues in your post.

To give you any useful advice, I'm going to need to know more about your computer and browser:

https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1195540

That said, if you haven't rebooted your computer since you started experiencing problems, start there.

If the problem persists, please work through the video troubleshooting guide.

In particular, see the part about disabling hardware acceleration.

If you're still running into constant crashes, is it specific to Chrome, or do you have the same problem in IE or Firefox?

Hi,

thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay in mine.

That being said, you are right, I missed a lot of information. As per the one required, here it is.

- Your operating system & version: Windows 10 Home, version 10.0.10586 Build 10586

- Your web browser(s) & version: it happens with Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge (which seems to be the new Explorer). Versions are for Firefox 43.0.3, for Chrome 47.0.2526.106m and for Edge is 25.10586.0.0 (and Microsoft EdgeHTML 13.10586)

- Your Flash Player version: seems that Chrome has Flash embedded, and for Firefox is Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0.

- Explain your problem in step-by-step detail if possible: Nothing too fancy. Simply when browsing and arriving to any page that has flash (for example the one you mentioned, https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html), the browser freezes (I'm guessing when attempting to load Flash) and then I get an error or notice of error. For Firefox is a popup notice (see attachment) and with Chrome is simply a notice on top saying that flash is not responding.

- A direct link to a page that demonstrates the problem: pick any, but so far I tried https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html

Obviously, since no flash page is loading I cannot try to disable hardware acceleration. If there's any other way of doing this let me know.

I am not sure what else I could send. By the way, I already restarted my laptop and it happens with all and any browser.
