I have the most recent version of Flash Player installed.

Yet any time I am on a web page requiring flash am told I need to download and install flash player.

What do I need to do to make Adobe Flash Player 11.6 open when necessary?

Hello, what operating system and browser&version do you using ?

Is the Flash Player aktivated in the browser ?

Which website do you have used (some have bad code to detect Flash) ?

I have the same problem. Running Firefox 19.0.2 with Windows 7 Home Premium and Flash 11.6 (although I have tried 11.5, 10.5 and even the beta test version). Problem also occurs in Windows Explorer. Basically any webpage with content that requires Adobe Flash tells me it isn't installed even though I've installed it 100 times. (Control Panel shows it as installed.) I have tried clearly cache, cookies, history, uninstalling and installing countless times (browser as well as flash) and still cannot find Flash. When I go to the Adobe test page I cannot see the test video. The installation process seems to go fine every time - I have downloaded only from the official Adobe website or done it automatically from within Firefox. Kind of desperate..... It always used to work - no idea why it stopped.

Could you post back with the contents of your "about:plugins" page in Firefox?
