Flash Player 10.1 simple question

I'm using: Mac mini 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo  (not sure if mine is 32 or 64 bit, I think it's 32)
OSX 10.4.11
Using Firefox version 3.6.4

Are Flash Player files supposed to remain on my desktop after downloading and installing Flash Player 10.1?
Please let me know if I need to provide more info. Thanks for any help!

Did you download the installer to your desktop, or did the installation put files on your desktop?

The downloaded installer can safely be deleted after the installation.  If the installer put things on the desktop, then I have no ideas what they are.

P.S. one post regarding the same problem is usually enough!

Well in the first post I tried to explain better what files these were but then I thought maybe I was making it too confusing. The instructions said to download the installation file to my desktop. But also another file appeared there. I just now went ahead and ejected Flash Player from my desktop and put the intallation file from my desktop into the trash. Then I tried an application that requires Flash Player and it seems to still work. I just wish they would say in the instructions to remove those files from your desktop.

    Thanks for the help!
