Flash Player 10.2.153.1 Standalone CRASH when I Open other program's window

Hi,

Flash Player 10.2.153.1 is crashing my standalone application. I did update from version 10.1 because the application was taking more than  90% CPU. The new Flash player solve the problem of resources, and drop down CPU to 30%, but  the application crashes always after a while, unespectly.

In the other hand when I disable the harware acceleration at the swf settings, the application goes crazy and start to make rapid flashes.

I'm on a Mac Mini Core 2 Duo with Mac OS X 10.6.7 (the last Snow Leopard these days). The graphical card is Nvidia GeForce 9400M.

I did test the application at a Mac Book Pro core i5, Mac OS X 10.6.7,  graphical card Nvidia GeForce GT 330M and the application is much more stable, but if I open the window of another application, mine is vulnerable to crash.

Finally if I export my application with GPU Hardware acceleration at Publish settings, my application crashes almost inmediatly after I open it in each of the computers.

Please help.

Sebastian

Hi, Flash Player is a browser plugin, not a Standalone. What browser(s) are you using? The plugin Shockwave Flash must be Installed and Enabled, so you would need to check that.

I'm not quite sure if you are referring to Flash Player since you mention exporting an application. Are you speaking of two different issues?

    Thanks,

    eidnolb,

Why are you saying that flash player can't be an Standalone? I have used flash player for interactive installations many times, creating my own standalone projector apps with flash. You can check at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and download the flash player standalone version.

And, actually it is a real fact that Flash Player 10.2.153.1 is crashing my application, because I have been testing with version 10.1 of flash player and everything goes ok, unless that cpu consuption was to high.

What I guess is happening is that the new Flash Version is using my graphical proccesor in a corrupted way.

    Any other sugestions,

Hi, I know about the Standalone/Projectors etc, but this is the Flash Player Forum, the browser plugin. We address issues with that for the end user. I wasn't sure which you were having a problem with. The Standalone/Projectors are quite different than the FP browser plugin.

I don't know what Adobe Product you are using to create applications, but I think they have a Forum that may be better able to help. The list is here with the drop down arrow. http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa

Regarding Flash Player, the browser plugin you can try turning off the hardware acceleration feature that is turned on by default, if you think there is the problem as described.

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.

My knowledge of Flex, or other Adobe Products that Developers use is nil. I know of them, but I only troubleshoot the Flash Player browser plugin.

    Thanks,
