Flash player 10.3.183.7 low quality playback on Windows 2008 machine

Hej,

got a following connundrum - when I recently upgraded to 10.3.183.7 machine with IE8 from 10.0.32.18 I found out that the flash content with lot of text looks quite blocky. So after some playing around (sometimes called and known as investigation) it became clear the from end-view perspective the new version of flash player runs the content in low quality same as the old version be default. The old one thou does allow you to manually force it to high quality via right click on video. The new one doesn have this setting or similar anywhere in the user or global settings. This leaves me bit flummoxxed as to why the new version defaults to low quality mode and cannot be coaxed to high quality...

Any ideas?

Best regards,

Igor

    Hi Igor,

Could you please open a new bug report on this over at bugbase.adobe.com?  If possible, please include screenshots illustrating the text issue.  This sounds familiar to me, but you took a big jump between 10.0 and 10.3 and a number of things might have changed.  You might also want to try toggling hardware acceleration to see if that makes any difference.  Please post back with the URL so that others affected can add their comments and votes.

    Thanks,
    Chris
