Flash Player 10 crashes

Hi

I know this has been a problem with numerous instances, but I can't seem to find a solution that works for me.

Ever since I upgraded to 32 bit Win 7, the latest version of Flash has been crashing on various browsers. Most notably, Google Chrome and IE. I have tried to turn hardware acceleration off, but when I attempt to uncheck the box, the check mark can't be removed and I can't even close out of the hardware acceleration dialog box.

Help Please !!!

Hi dmorris395, Did you upgrade to 32bit Win7 after you already had Installed Flash Player vs 10.1? Let's make sure that you have the correct Flash files Installed and then we can proceed.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Open Flash and post back all files there. Any NPSWF you will need to right click on and then click on Properites in order to obtain the version numbers.

Also if you use any other browsers than IE8 and Chrome, please post that also with version numbers.

    Thanks,

I checked the Flash folder as requested. The only file in it is a flashinstall text file. I hope this is what you were wanting me to do.

Hi, thanks, yes. You need to Install Flash Player using IE. Do you use any other browser other than IE and Chrome?

Also what Anti-Virus program do you use and does it contain a Firewall? If not, do you use any Firewall other than Windows Firewall?

Some Anti-Virus programs can block Flash Player from Installing the ActiveX Control so that is why I am asking.

Also are you the Administrator and have you been using that Account? If  not, you will need to as this gives you permission to Install the ActiveX Control.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

try my method that results, had same problem like yours.

    1 - Uninstall everything about A.F. 10.1

2 - Install Firefox (make it priority)

    3 - Install this version flashplayer10r12_36_win.exe or flashplayer10r45_2_win.exe

    and voilá, back to normal.

Hello again Flip, Please don't advise the users to Uninstall their current version of Flash Player and go back to versions that won't be supported on most websites that updated.

And no they won't be back to normal. You have a problem with Adobe, but don't use other users to avenge your issues.

I posted to you before and advised you that if you want to help users here on the Flash Forum, you do what is in their best interest, not yours.

I'm hoping I don't have to respond again to you about this matter.

I just gave an option which its not so big problem to do it, if don't work they can install again the latest version...

It's getting so obvious there are many people having crashes whit the new version... isn't not my only issue but ok, i understand your position.

    I won't help anymore anyone.
