Flash Player 11.7.700.224 not playing on Firefox 22.0

Hi,
I just updated Firefox to the 22.0 version and then updated Flash Player to the above version, but when trying to play videos or games in Facebook, I get the message "Adobe Flash Player 11.1 or higher required for playing".

I downloaded the Flash Player installation program and installed the 11.7.700.224 version a few times, but the problem remains.

Would you help me resolve the issue?

Thanks!

It IS strange that nobody from Adobe even acknowledges this thread, or at least says they are working on the problem described!!!

Same problem here, two computers, both running Windows 7, 64 bit. Both just updated to Firefox 22.0, and very latest Flash. Boo hiss for Adobe! This is so common, it's utterly predictable.

I'm also using Windows 7, but 32 bit, and automatically updated.

Lou108, are you having the same problem?

July 4, 2013

Yes, it appears that wherever I try to play an online video, whether on Facebook, YouTube or news sites, I get the message to upgrade to a higher version of Flash Player, even though I have the latest installed.

I just tried Google Chrome (Version 27.0.1453.116 m) and FlashPlayer works fine with this browser. Still not operating with Firefox 22.0.

Hi,

I am trying to provide our church with full functioning access to website videos on one of their media PCs using IE 10 but some videos only play audio, often with a notice to install Flash Player.

Chrome will play all full videos normally.

The IE Manage Add ons functions indicates Shockwave Flash object is enabled.

The Flash Player Settings Manger indicates  "ActiveX Version: 11.7.700.224" and "Flash player plugin version: not nstalled" which I believe are the proper settings.

While trying to fix this problem I have followed Adobe instructions for a clean "uninstall of Flash player", including removing all folders and files then installed this Flash Player version again.  Same result; some videos only play sound in IE.

System is W7, 64bit with all current Windows updates installed.

This discussion came the closest to describing my problem.  Appreciate any help solving this.  Thanks

After posting the above question I received information that sevral of the videos that only play audio are not websites but

audio podcasts.  Will that assist in diagnosising the problem?
