I updated Flash yesterday and still see "we're sorry you need to update your flash player" instead of videos or games. It said intall was successful and it appears under Programs and Features.  I went to the troubleshooting section of the site and followed the intructions there to uninstall and reinstall, but it didn't help, and I did not find any other helpful information. Also, in the box that should show what version of FP I have installed or an error message, it is just grey.

Flash Player 11.8

Windows 7

Firefox 23.o.1

Still no change.

Tools>Add-ons (Ctrl+Shft+A)

Under Plugins you should see this

Only the Shockwave Flash should say 11.8.800.94 (Mine's the beta so it's different)

Download the Flash Uninstaller

uninstaller (797 KB)

Run it to fully uninstall Flash Player.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking one (or both) of the following links and selecting "Save target as"(IE) or "Save link as"(other browsers).

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Save the file(s) to your downloads folder.

Reboot.

Before running anything else, open the downloads folder and run the installer(s).
