Flash Player 11 said it installed, but it does not work!???!

so, i use Internet Explorer on a Laptop with windows 7 (64 bit), and i have tried it all! I tried installing it about 5 times, and i tried running the uninstaller, but whenever I try to install it, it says its successful. Then i try to go on a website that requires flash player, and the content doesn't show up. I tried restarting my computer and everything! I am desperate, but don't wan't to have to pay for help!
