After updating Flash yesterday (Win 7 Pro SP1) Firefox and IE crash and freeze with "Shockwave Flash is busy or not responding..."  ...Out of the blue!?

[Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0}

What can fix this?

    This issue is also happening with me.

    Adobe Player version: 20.0.0.286
    Firefox version: 44.0
    If I go to the about page for Adobe Flash then Adobe Flash crashes.

    Adobe - Flash Player

    I would expect that if the Adobe Flash player crashes on Adobe's Flash page then the problem is with Adobe Flash and not my browser. Pepper Flash in Chrome works without issue. This issue does not happen with Adobe Player version 20.0.0.286 in Internet Explorer.

    I have found a method to mitigate this issue.

    1) Leave Shockwave Flash 20.0.0.286 enabled.

    2) Disable Primetime Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe Systems, Incorporated.

    I can now play my Flash games and watch video that needs Flash without issue.

    More about the Primetime Content Decryption Module can be found below.

    I have the latest version installed (and even reinstalled FP) but it did not work. I just get the same 'AFP stopped working' message.
    Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update in a week or so.. thanks for the reply.
